Just a super quick post to let people know I’ve pushed the first version of obamalicio.us live.

What is it?

My plan was to make it a single point of reference for news, videos, images and Barack Obama and his campaign to be the next President.

How does it work?

Every 15 minutes we reach out to news sources, currently 15 of them we check to see if there’s anything new, if there is we save a small portion of the information to our DB, which we then display to the user. If you click a link to view a piece, we log that click (just so people can see which links have had the most visits). If you want something to appear on obamalicio.us, my best advice is to get it listed on one of the popular sites like digg, de.licio.us, etc.

What’s Next?

As always I have a ton of ideas that I want to do. I will not be making a delicious, digg or stumbleupon clone. But it’s all about finding the time. If you have an idea just drop me an email or post a comment.
