OK so I’m a NIN fan

Jim and I went up to the Izod Center last night to the Nine Inch Nails show. I have to say, I was blown away. For some reason, despite my ridiculously broad musical tastes, NIN was one of those acts that just slipped through the cracks and never got any play time. I could confidently say that until maybe a year ago I had no NIN songs in my 100+ gig music collection. In the last 6-9 months I’ve probably only really listened to the more recent stuff, Ghosts, Slip, etc. But even with this relatively junior level of interest I can without a doubt say that last night was one of the best shows I’ve seen. It truly was amazing. To give some context, that statement comes 3 weeks after seeing Radiohead at All Points West. NIN have now found themselves onto a very small list of bands that if they tour within 100miles, I will go an see them. About now I’d love to share some pictures and a nice video, but I only had my iPhone and the light show isn’t conducive to low level camera equipment - hell I’m not sure my eyes or brain could handle it half the time. As we arrived Jim point out the “this show includes strobe lights” warning sign…. I can confirm they use some of the biggest strobes I’ve ever seen (and I used to rave).

So here’s some videos from other people just to give you all a taste. They just added 30+ stops to their US tour, if they’re coming near you, I highly recommend going. It’s an awesome show that goes from one extreme to the next - Trent Renzor playing the glockenspiel to all out riot music. It really was fun.
