Why do you have accounts on all those sites
When I built usernamecheck.com it was partly to show how silly it is that you have to signup and register accounts and user names on hundreds of sites individually across the web. Really it’s very silly.
Joseph Smarr (Plaxo) has an amazing hour long talk that he gave at Google I/O. I highly recommend watching the whole thing, it’ll explain a lot about the situation that the social web is currently in, and a group of solutions that seem to be gaining traction. OpenSocial, OpenId, and OAuth.
