Twitter Regression

After weeks (if not months) of not seeing the Fail Whale, today it seems Twitter has gone back to it’s old ways. I’ve been getting a constant stream of notifications from isbackonline.com. At first I was concerned that there was some sudden influx of traffic - huge spikes in traffic usually accompany some sort of major news event, like a natural disaster. But after having a quick look at CNN, clearly the end of the world has not been announced (or at least CNN haven’t picked up on it). Makes me wonder what happened today that’s resulting in all these outages.
